Description

This short online programme is aimed towards the most relevant to senior nurse managers within the acute or residential healthcare settings.  It will help you understand each of the key steps and responsibilities of risk management plus outline the core principles of best practice in managing risk.  Ultimately, this programme promotes best practice with regard to risk management and patient safety.  
 
Learning outcomes:
 
To ensure all participants have a clear understanding of a risk matrix, risk management and how to develop a risk register.
 
To outline the roles and responsibilities of all healthcare staff regarding risk management and health and safety.
 
To promote a culture of continuous learning regarding risk management and health and safety within a healthcare environment.
 
To ensure a consistent approach to the reporting, investigation, analysis and monitoring of incidents and adverse events/risks and how this relates to your risk register within your organisation.
 
Note:  On completion of this course a certificate of attendance in a digital form and will be sent by email to each participant.  Please note places are limited and must be booked in advance; you need a reliable computer and internet access and please ensure a correct email is provided when registering.
